VON in Nova Scotia launches monthly 50/50 fundraiser
VON in Nova Scotia has launched a monthly 50/50 fundraiser in support of VON community programs across the province.
COVID-19 has fundamentally changed the way VON is able to raise funds to support community programs, which rely heavily on donor support. Your support through this 50/50 will help ensure that VON programs continue to serve thousands of vulnerable people in communities across Nova Scotia each week.
The monthly raffle is drawn every 2nd Thursday of the month, with 50% of funds going to a lucky winner, and the remaining funds to support community programs.

Here’s where the funds raised could support:
$5 – supports our Vial of Life Program; providing healthcare workers with important medical information in an emergency
$10 – provides a subsidy for a Transportation Program ride; taking a client to an essential medical appointment (e.g. dialysis or radiation)
$20 – subsidizes 4 meals from our Meals-on-Wheels Programs for a senior or community member in need
$50 – covers the per-day cost of two participants in a local Adult Day Program
