John Peddle, ICD.D, is a Principal Consultant with AMP Associates Management Consulting. He brings expertise in industrial relations and labour relations to the VON Board of Directors.
John is principal consultant and owner of AMP Associates, a management consulting firm providing services in industrial relations and human resources. John served as the executive director of the Newfoundland and Labrador Health Boards Association (NLHBA) for more than 13 years and prior to that worked as the Association’s director of labour relations for nearly 20 years.
John gained extensive experience and a deep understanding of provincial and national health systems by serving as the NLHBA’s representative on the board of the Canadian Healthcare Association (CHA). He also represented the CHA on the Physician Human Resource Strategy for Canada (Task Force Two) and on other national committees.
John was a founding member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Employer’s Council and served on its board for 30 years, including as chair. In 2010, he was appointed to the WorkplaceNL board, which he has chaired since September 2017. John is also an executive member of the Association of Workers' Compensation Boards of Canada.
John graduated from Memorial University with Bachelor of Commerce in 1971 and is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) and a graduate of the ICD.D program.
